Delve Leader
Quadrispec (Patrick)
Delves are small-group adventures for 1-5 players (with the exact number of players able to participate in the same delve being flexible until a maximum of 5 has been reached), together with an NPC companion. Like Raids and Mythic+ dungeons, delves follow a seasonal paradigm. Delves serve as a training grounds for those that are learning how to pilot their characters, work on their rotations in a real instance, and make full use of all the utilities that their SpellBooks have to offer (there's more to WoW than a DPS Rotation and timing up your CD's).
Delves are not super difficult. Most mechanics in delves are quite manageable, and many of them boil down to not standing in fire. There are a few mobs and mechanics that do require a little nuance and tactics, but nothing of the sort that Mythic Dungeons or Heroic Raiding will require.
There is currently no ranking system for progress through delves - there is no raider.io score and wowprogress.com does not rank our guild any higher if we have a group that is world first to finish a Tier 23 Spiral Weave. This points at a game-mode that is inherently casual.
The Primary Purpose of Monday Delve Night is to have fun. The Practical Purpose of Monday Delve Night is to have all participants fill out their vault slots and give everyone a better shot at better gear.
With our practical purpose rooted in better gear, we will focus on the Bountiful Delves that are "up" on Mondays (there is always some wiggle room when deciding what to run - if you hate underwater delves, you can run a different delve instead - They count the same for vault slots). The Goal for a Delve night will be to get each group through 4 Delves in total . . . Getting to 8 and thus filling out the entire Delve Row in the Vault is too time consuming for a single night's raiding.
We will be running a minimum of Tier 8 delves. It is up to you to get your character in a postion to run these (ie. climb the ladder by running at least all of every previous tier [1-7]). Tier 8 drops ilvl 639 gear, while the Delver's bounty drops ilvl 649 Hero pieces - these also unlock 649 slots in the vault and drop ruined and gilded crests.
We WILL seek to complete each delve - don't just quit if you run out of lives. Completing the delve with more than 6 deaths STILL counts towards the vault.
As the season progresses we can open up the floor to more difficult T9+ delves for more Gilded Crests.
Brann can Tank now!
We will utilize Brann primarily in their capacity as a healer or tank
If we have a tank that is able to attend, we will let out tank...tank. Brann can heal.
If we have no tanks - Brann can be our tank
These adventures are designed so the even the most squishy of DPS can solo the entire instance... having a tank or healer in the group's comp is good practice for those folks, and we do prefer to have them... but in a pinch, Brann's Got Our Back
"DON'T STAND THERE!!"
Be on time - We will be starting at 8 PM realm time. Please show up 15 minutes before this so groups can be sorted
No carries - our focus is to get gear for guildies. We will not be monitoring meters, but everyone is expected to fully participate and run on a Tier within their skill level.
Know your rotation - add-on's such as Hekili can help you learn your rotation, but you are responsible for knowing your CCs, interrupts, and defensive abilities. Using the full repetoire of what your character is capable of is required.
Discord - you gotta have it and be signed on. If you're shy, you're not required to talk, but you must be able to listen for call outs
Know when to focus - we can be chill and conversational, but this ain't karaoke night. When its time to focus on a boss, you are expected to focus and keep the channels clear for call outs
Food and Flasks - bring your own food and flasks - this is not a requirement, but they do help a bit now don't they?
Potions - bring your own tempered potions (They do not need to be gold star, but make sure you have some for when you're in a tight spot)
Water Breathing Potions - Draenic Water Breathing Elixirs are SUPER helpful in underwater delves, please bring a few with you (or a pocket a Warlock)
Required
Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) - has numerous benefits; the biggest of which is mechanic call outs
Details! - shows your output in terms of DPS or HPS. This lets you see how you're stacking up against other party members and helps you learn your rotation by measuring your performance
Required
GTFO - sounds an alarm when you are standing in avoidable damage
RaiderIO - lets you see tonnes of relevant data about yourself in terms of mythic+ dungeons and raids, but best of all it lets you see where other players are too. This makes forming groups where individuals are at a similar skill level much easier.
HandyNotes - shows on your minimap where to find treasures
These add-ons can all be found on CurseForge - please reach out if you need some help learning how to use each of these add-ons
